Delegates exchange information at the seminar

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, General Director of the Academy’s Institute of Party Building clarified two major aspects on the development of Marxist-Leninist theory in Vietnam and current work of Party building, especially after the 12th Party national congress. He emphasized that the Communist Party of Vietnam is always consistent with Marxism and Leninism and considers them as the ideological foundation and compass for the Party’s actions. After more than 75 years of revolution and 30 years of renovation, the Communist Party of Vietnam is fully aware that the best way to defend Marxist-Leninist theory is developing and applying it appropriately into the practical conditions of Vietnam.

Since its establishment, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always regarded the Party building as a key task. The 12th national congress of the Party focused on Party development with the view to build pure and strong Party, which is the first component of the Congress’ theme and also the title of the political report. This demonstrates the role, position and importance of Party building in the cause of developing and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Appreciating the opinion of Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, Mr. Xi Yutong, Vice Chairman of the Office of the Party School of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party said that in the process of revolution and reform, the Communist Party of China always focuses on developing theories by applying principles of Marxist-Leninist theories in the conditions of China, creating socialism with Chinese unique characteristics with Deng Xiaoping theory, “three represents” theory of Jiang Zemin, the theory of scientific outlook on development of Hu Jintao, and perspectives on country’s management of Chinese Party General Secretary and State President Xi Jinping from the 18th national congress of the Chinese Communist Party.

At the seminar, scholars and researchers of the two sides share experiences and lessons on Party development, mass mobilization, recruitment of new party members, difficulties and challenges that leaders of the Parties are facing in this period.

Earlier, the delegation of the Party School met Assoc. Prof, Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, Vice President of the Academy.
