Hanoi, 3th November: Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and Korea Institute of Public Administration signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in training, scientific research and policy consultation.
The participants included Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary, President of HCMA; representatives of subordinate departments and institutes; Mr. Yoon Soo Jung, President of KIPA along with other members.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of HCMA affirmed that the signing of MoU marked an important milestone in the relationship between the HCMA and KIPA. He believed that KIPA, who has in-depth knowledge and experience in public administration, will be the important partner to enhance the effectiveness of mutual cooperation. To realize the MoU, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang requested relevant departments to accomplish legal procedures and framework for the deployment of specific joint activities.
Appreciating the importance and contributions of the Academy to the renovation of Vietnam, Mr. Yoon Soo Jung, President of KIPA emphasized that this signed MoU is the obvious demonstration of the effective cooperation between the Academy and KIPA in recent years. In the future, more joint researches, which focus on policy analysis and improvement, will be conducted based on the MoU. Moreover, it will not only boost the national development but also tighten the relationship between HCMA and KIPA in particular as well as the relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general.
This MoU marked a milestone in the relationship between HCMA and KIPA and aimed at create the foundation for more specific activities and strengthen the bilateral cooperation, especially in sharing experience in public administration training and research.
At the signing ceremony, the two sides also discussed the organizational structure, functions and tasks and cooperation orientations.
