Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Program between the Central Theoretical Council and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics for the period of 2016-2021

On behalf of the Party Committee, the Board of managements of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, President of the Academy affirmed the signing ceremony as a new milestone in the relationship between Academy and Central Theoretical Council. The cooperation between the two sides has been early conducted which aim at carry out the responsibility entrusted by the Party Central Committee and reflect the bond of gratitude between organizations.

Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council affirmed the relationship between the two agencies as an opportunity to bring into play the advantages of each party. The Academy is the center for training senior cadres, the leading center for political theoretical research of  Communist Party and the Central Theoretical Council, which is the focal point for gathering the scientific force of the whole country with its members are leaders of ministries, departments, academia, research institutes and major universities nationwide. The Central Theoretical Council is also a strategic advisory body directly contributing to the development of strategic issues for the Party Central Committee. Prof. Dr. Phung Huu Phu said that the cooperation between the two sides is both beneficial to each other and beneficial to the work of the Party, so it is necessary to specify "Sign to do, and never do things by halves. Taking quality and efficiency as a measure of the effectiveness of cooperation”.

The cooperation program between the Central Theoretical Council and Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy for the period of 2016-2021 is defined as the scope of scientific research, theoretical research, information exchange and policy advice aiming to strengthen the responsibility and bring into play the strengths of each party in research, advisory and policy advice to the Party and the State for the successful implementation of the 12th General Assembly Resolution and to provide the scientific arguments contributing to the preparation of the documents of the 13th Party Congress.

Six specific aspects of cooperation were defined: Conducting collaborative research programs, projects with themes of political theory; Co-organizing and host a number of national and international conferences on major issues related to political theory; Exchanging information, publications and materials for the performance of political tasks of the Party and the State assigned to the two parties related to political theory; Sharing new research findings in country and abroad relating to political theory; Coordinating and propose policy proposals to the Party Central Committee and the Government on the issues related to political theory; Cooperating in the field of training and inhancing capacity to leaders and managers.
