The participants included Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of HCMA; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, Vice President of HCMA; representatives of subordinate departments and institutes. On NHI side, there were Prof. Oh Dong Ho, NHI’s President along with other members, and representative of Embassy of Republic of Korea in Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang highly evaluated the cooperative relations between the Academy and NHI in the last time. He hoped that in the coming time, the Academy and NHI would continue to enhance the comprehensive cooperation and create conditions to expand the collaboration on many sectors with diverse activities in both content and form. Also, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang hoped that the signing ceremony for the MOU Renewal between two sides will open the long-term cooperative prospects in the future and hence, contribute to the enhancement of the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.

Expressing his sincere thanks for the Academy’s warm welcome, Prof. Oh Dong Ho said that in the recent years, many delegations of HCMA paid official visits to NHI to do research and exchange experience, and gained great results. He believed that these exchange programmes have been promoting and deepening the bilateral relations; and affirmed that NHI would always accompany HCMA in the coming time, opening prospects of long-term cooperation and tightening the friendship relations between the two sides.
