Seminar “Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: Reality and Prospect”

At the seminar, Mr Le Dung, Director General of Europe Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented the new and important information on the Vietnam - Russia relations over the years, the Russia’s current situation, significant political fluctuations in Russia and direction for cooperation between the two countries in the future.

Over the years, Vietnam has always been consistent in its policy of strengthening and prioritizing the comprehensive strategic partnership with the Russian Federation, making the bilateral cooperative relations more effective and sustainable. Vietnam has always considered Russia as one of the most important and reliable partners. The two countries have gained positive cooperative results in the fields of defense and security, science and technology, education and training, culture, tourism… The relationship between the two countries has been established and developed on the basis of traditional friendship between the two nations and has stood the test of time for nearly 7 decades.

Also in the discussion, Mr Le Dung addressed the questions of the delegates on Russia - Crimea issue, the obstacles in Vietnam - Russia economic relations and prospects and measures to enhance the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
