Assoc. Prof, Dr Hoang Van Nghia made the introductory speech at the workshop

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr Hoang Van Nghia emphasized that the Internet has contributed significantly to the achievements of socio-economic development in Vietnam in the past. After emerging and quickly existing in every aspect of people’s lives, the Internet has played a key role in the 4.0 revolution.

This seminar is an opportunity for experts and scientists to share and discuss the role of the Internet in socio-economic development and international integration in Vietnam in the digital revolution as well as the 4.0 revolution. This seminar is also expected to consider practice in Sweden to point out some potential research directions and offer to develop some policies to make Internet widely accessible, and to establish a civilized, open, free and safe environment for Internet users.

At the seminar, the participants unanimously raised issues about the access to Internet globally. As Internet is considered one of the fundamental human rights with open data resources, people nowadays use Internet as an effective means of providing information, promoting development and more importantly, opening up new opportunities for all sectors of society.

The seminar ended in the morning on the same day.
